Hematology / Oncology MD - Part Time
Hartford HealthCare, the largest integrated healthcare delivery system in Connecticut, seeks a BC/BE Hematology/Oncology provider to join a rapidly growing practice at Hartford Hospital for a part-time position. We are seeking experienced medical oncologists interested in returning to practice on a part-time basis - as little as one to three days a week - to join our medical oncology-hematology faculty practice. If you've stepped away from full-time practice but still miss the patients, the medicine, or simply having a purposeful place to be a few days a week, we'd love to talk with you.
The mission of Hartford Healthcare Cancer Institute which oversees over 40 oncologists is on the highest quality patient centered multidisciplinary care, patient experience and clinical research trial enrollment. Over the past 10 years we have partnered with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and developed a collaborative relationship for oversight of standards of care, education and clinical research.
This is a flexible, low-pressure opportunity designed around your schedule and goals - whether that means:
- A fixed, predictable schedule of clinic days each week or every other week
- Covering general medical oncology or focusing on a disease site you know well
- Mentoring fellows or early-career physicians without carrying a full clinical workload
- No call, or a very limited call schedule, by arrangement
You'll be fully supported by a well-established practice - a talented medical oncology-hematology faculty group, experienced advanced practice providers, nurse navigators, and system-wide Disease Management Teams that ensure one standard of care across Hartford HealthCare's eight-hospital network, which cares for 1 in 3 Connecticut residents. Administrative and clinical infrastructure - scheduling, EMR, tumor boards, and clinical trial support - are already in place, so you can focus on the part you love most: seeing patients.
This is a salaried position. While compensation is presented as an hourly rate for consistency across our postings, this position is paid on a salary basis. The hiring range reflects a good faith estimate of pay for this position as of the posting date. Actual pay will be determined based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and other factors that may include hire bonuses, incentive pay plans, loan repayment, administrative stipends, or relocation.
