Lead Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Outpatient Psychiatry Leadership | Autism Services | Academic Psychiatry

Institute of Living | Hartford HealthCare Hartford, Connecticut

The Institute of Living (IOL), Hartford HealthCare's internationally recognized behavioral health network, is seeking a Lead Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide clinical and administrative leadership for its comprehensive ambulatory psychiatry services.

This role includes direct patient care and program oversight across:

  • General Outpatient Psychiatry (preschool through age 25)
  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Mary W. Parker Autism Center

Candidates with expertise or a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, pediatric psychopharmacology, and family-centered care are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
  • Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment
  • Collaborate with psychology, social work, family therapy, speech therapy, and case management teams
  • Support program development, quality initiatives, and clinical operations
  • Participate in statewide psychiatric consultation services
  • Inpatient call opportunities available

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)

Preferred

  • Experience in outpatient psychiatric care and clinical leadership
  • Expertise in psychopharmacology and evidence-based treatment
  • Broad experience in day-to-day operations of a comprehensive ambulatory program
  • Administrative leadership skills
