Vascular Access opportunity in Connecticut: Join Hartford HealthCare!

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a BC/BE Vascular Surgeon to join our expanding Vascular service line to specifically focus on Dialysis Access. Join a collegial eleven-member group of fellowship-trained vascular surgeons.

Your practice will be focused across the greater Hartford area, including ambulatory offices, satellite hospitals, and Hartford Hospital, an 860-bed tertiary center, a central teaching site of the University of Connecticut of Connecticut vascular surgery fellowship, and general surgery residency.

The Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute is the state's premier destination for cardiovascular care, performing more advanced cardiac procedures than any other program in Connecticut while leveraging the most innovative technology available today.

Nationally recognized for clinical excellence, the Heart & Vascular Institute delivers exceptional care close to home, with seamless access to the region's leading quaternary care center for the most complex cardiovascular needs.

This role is specifically focused on our growing Dialysis Access patient population. This position involves creation and maintenance of dialysis access including AV fistulas and grafts for patients throughout the Greater Hartford area. The ideal candidate is one who understands the unique needs of this patient population, is able to work closely with our local Nephology partners, and can help facilitate the coordination of care for these patients, both for inpatient but also outpatient-based management and treatment.

Hartford HealthCare is a nationally recognized, integrated health system employing more than 2,800 providers across over 500 practice locations throughout Connecticut. Our network includes eight acute care hospitals - among them one of the largest academic and surgical centers in the Northeast - along with thriving community teaching hospitals and one of New England's largest physician-led, multi-specialty medical groups.

At the Heart & Vascular Institute, there are truly no limits to what you can achieve. Our program is built around collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful professional growth, creating an environment where physicians are supported, valued, and empowered to shape both their practice and the future of patient care. Physicians benefit from strong mentorship at every career stage, access to advanced technology, and the resources of a forward-thinking health system that prioritizes innovation and excellence. We are deeply committed to delivering cutting-edge, evidence-based care while fostering a collegial culture that encourages curiosity, leadership, and continuous learning. Our physicians are educators, researchers, leaders - and above all, compassionate caregivers.

Ideally located within two hours of both Boston and New York City, Connecticut provides an outstanding quality of life for you and your family. From top-ranked schools to four seasons of outdoor recreation, you will find diverse living options to suit any lifestyle - whether along the shoreline, in picturesque suburbs, or within vibrant urban communities.

We would welcome the opportunity to connect at your convenience to explore how your professional goals may align with our mission and vision.
